Kendra, co-founder and chef at Bite Me Catering
The Culinary Queen
Kendra
Co-Founder · Chef · Magic Maker · Chief of Sass

"She didn't come here to play. She came here to cook, garden, parent, and generally outshine everyone in every room she walks into."

This true Cape Townian is a force to be reckoned with — a multitasking mastermind who somehow manages to run a catering company, raise tiny humans, maintain a garden that would make a botanist weep, and still find time to deliver a wit sharper than a chef's knife.

With a qualification from the prestigious Granger Bay Hotel School in Food Service Management, Kenz has the formal training to back up what her instincts already knew: she is simply excellent at this. She's also a film industry veteran with behind-the-scenes savvy that makes the chaos of a 300-person catering operation feel like a Tuesday.

  • Granger Bay Hotel School — Food Service Management
  • Film industry veteran (the set never knew what hit it)
  • Master of culinary creativity and general kitchen sorcery
  • Certified gardening guru with a green thumb and strong opinions
  • Wordsmith. Storyteller. Professional sass dispenser.
  • Parenting pro — raises tiny humans AND soufflés that don't collapse
Fun Fact Kenz's secret ingredient is a pinch of playfulness, a dash of creativity, and a whole lot of love. When she's not in the kitchen, on set, or chasing after her tiny humans, you can find her plotting her next adventure — with a sprinkle of magic, of course.
Arno, co-founder and executive chef at Bite Me Catering
The Braai Master
Arno
Co-Founder · Executive Chef · Golfing Gourmet · Pretoria's Finest Export

"Hailing from the rugby-loving city of Pretoria, Arno arrived in Cape Town with 5-star credentials, a mean golf swing, and absolutely no intention of slowing down."

With a qualification in Food Service Management and time served as Executive Chef at various 5-star game lodges and hotels, Arno is what happens when you take serious culinary talent and add a whole lot of calm. His style: traditional cooking techniques, done with precision, served with love, and occasionally accompanied by a joke that only he finds funny. (He finds it very funny.)

In 2019, he tackled a new challenge — defeating film catering — and has been making sets run on full stomachs ever since. Between braais, birdie putts, and producing meals that make people embarrass themselves at the table, Arno is living his best Cape Town life.

  • Food Service Management qualification — formally dangerous in a kitchen
  • Executive Chef, multiple 5-star game lodges and hotels
  • Film catering conqueror since 2019 — the sets are fed and grateful
  • Braai Pitmaster — Pretoria certified, Cape Town approved
  • Golf handicap: classified. Short game: suspiciously good.
  • Can produce a 5-star meal in the bush, on set, or in a slight panic
Arno's Mantra "Golf, rugby, braai, repeat. And don't forget the food — traditional, tasty, and always with a smile." He's also allegedly only fun when he drinks, but we've been sworn to secrecy on that one.
Together though —

They're an absolute menace.
In the best possible way.

One brings bold traditional technique and the calm of someone who has cooked for lodge guests while a lion watched from 40 metres away. The other brings creativity, sass, and the ability to make a film crew feel like they're dining at a restaurant, not eating from a truck. Combined? Unstoppable. Loud. Occasionally competitive. Always, always delicious.
